Very nice to walk and eat. Restaurant very new and modern, very clean. Large and tasty selection, priced a little higher than normal. Lots of seating and spaces. Gigantic outside area with animals. We recommend the Sunday brunch until noon.

To be honest, the Hotel Hofgut Tiergarten was a spontaneous event. We really wanted to take a little trip this year and found the hotel on the internet by chance and booked it directly. We were there from Mon - Fri and in short, we were extremely satisfied. The apartment "Villa 30" was great. It was clean and big. It consisted of a bedroom, a concentration camp with 4 beds, a huge living room with an open kitchen and dining table and a beautifully spacious bathroom. The first impression was perfect. The service on arrival at the reception was also good and nice. The hotel is perfect for toddlers. My son is just under two and he loved it there. The goats in front of our apartment. Furthermore, the hamsters that you can feed in their cage. Then the chickens, which you can also touch and hug. They are so used to people that they stay calm. The property is huge, so you have to walk a few meters (60 meters) to the ponies, turkey, ducks, swan. Immediately next to it were the pigs. We fed them with apples and carrots. There are also about 30 deer. I thought it was great with the animals. Definitely a good concept. There is an indoor playground, which is available in bad weather. Adventure Gold recently. We attended the buffet on the first evening. We paid 22 euros p.p. and a little something for the drinks. With around 52 euros and a diverse selection of dishes, I think the price is okay. Kudos to IVANA SCHWARZ (receptionist). She was so kind and helpful. just natural and a good woman. She always advised us kindly and gave us tips for outside activities. Her manner alone was great! Conclusion: If you want to go away with your children for a few days, you can't go wrong at Hofgut Tiergaren.

We were there for brunch. Selection is really good, great buffet. Not cheap but very, very tasty. Also for children a lot. Nice playground and lots of animals to marvel at.

Definitely don't go there! CORONA DOESN'T SEEM TO EXIST THERE! The employees never wear a mask and distance rules cannot be adhered to because of the size 😖 the disinfection dispensers are empty so you cannot disinfect yourself

Four people went to the breakfast buffet today. Right at the beginning we were very astonished to have been greeted with a “You can take off your masks, even if you go to the buffet you don't have to wear them”. Aha, who wears the mask voluntarily? Of course nobody! In my opinion, hygiene deficiency number 1! Furthermore, disinfectant dispensers were available, but these were only used very sporadically. At a buffet during Corona times, I imagine that the operators try to keep the contact between the various guests at the buffet as low as possible, not just in terms of the minimum distance (which could be kept to a certain extent due to the lower number of guests ), but in the handling and offer of the buffet. Food such as Butter, jam, honey, Nutella could be offered in disposable packaging during these times. Bread could be pre-cut by the staff. Instead, you always have to use serving cutlery or tongs for all these things (in addition to the sausage and cheese platters, pastry baskets and fruit, vegetable and cereal bowls), which dozens of guests have already touched in front of me. Another hygiene deficiency that could easily be improved! Last but not least, we were also not very convinced of the food on offer, the sausage and cheese selection was very small and almost empty from the start of our visit (10 a.m.). I can't say whether it was refilled, as the plates were half empty even on the second or third buffet course. We had to wait so long for our scrambled eggs that we thought we'd been forgotten ... The second scrambled egg order no longer arrived. Well ... Since we didn't want to touch the bread slicer, we were dependent on two different types of white bread. Although the restaurant was only half full due to the corona, it was uncomfortably loud. We came on the basis of a recommendation, which we cannot make for 23.- per person.

Absolute recommendation !!! Greatly furnished holiday apartments, very well thought out, nothing was missing (for families). Super standard, super clean. Lovely again!

Wonderful family business with a heart for children. Absolutely delicious dinner and rich breakfast. It was wonderful here. We will be back.

It's a nice place to spend holidays. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food, in the middle of the wild. It's very kids friendly. We found all the things necessary for kids in our apartment on our arrival. There is childproof furniture. A small slide and table football in the apartment. There are playgrounds where almost all the kids, as soon a they start walking, can enjoy. There are lots of animals inside their property. There's any open pasture in the direct vicinity where lots of deers live. A small lake look at but unfortunately without access and kind of unclean. Another unfortunate thing is absence of air-conditioning. We came here on extremely hot days and the dry and hot weather is killing. The apartment has only 2 windows and a door to the balcony which can be opened. We have to keep it open for fresh air. Especially in the evening this invites a lots of unwanted houseguests like bees, beetles, flies etc. May be one want to avoid attic floors in summer! Or carry your own small cooling system for hot days. There are also train tracks directly on one side, which is not so pleasant if you have to keep windows open. But doesn't disturb in the night, as absence of running take in the night. In spite of heat I'd like to emphasize on nice location and kids friendliness of the hotel. Dedicated parking directly at the house. Got a nice buggy to use for stay on request. It's a nice place!!

Friendly service. Bueffet very well constructed, so that there is plenty of space for the other guests. We will be back.

We stayed here with our dwarf for a long weekend. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play along. When the weather is nice, I imagine the stay to be even more beautiful! The rooms were spacious, modern and above all clean. The breakfast was varied and very good. At dinner there was also plenty of choice with very good quality. The whole complex is so suitable for children. Great playgrounds and a lot to discover. Even with Essen, children from small to large are spoiled with all kinds of entertainment.

A dream for children with parents ... Finally play on four large playgrounds while the adults are well looked after. Eat and drink in sight. Always worth a visit! By the way, Papa is always happy about the great view of the Alps on arrival and departure

I don't know how to communicate to have hofgut tiergarten erasing my data from their customer database, so I am forced to write here. 5-6 years ago I had a very sad customer experience with this hotel, when for two consecutive years they messed up with our reservation and left us and our children out of the hotel (the first year even after we were occupying the room: the cause seemed noble - they asked us to leave to give the room to neighbours in a funeral, which we did in goodwill - and lost one vacation day in the move. They insisted then to pay a room in another hotel but we wanted to stay in this one, so they gave us a boucher for the year after, which seemed not optimal but an acceptable arrangement to us. Our children were sad, but we were fine to give way to people needing the room in such sad situation. Surprisingly, the hotel didn t honor their offer one year afterwards and upon our booking they again messed with the reservation, and even attributed the mistake to us. My children again had to be told that we could not stay in this hotel. I sent a complain note then that was never answered. Well, six years after that I keep receiving a reservation that does not belong to us, with my name and address on it. Can you please erase me from your customer database? I sent you an email for that, which is unanswered again. I hope that via this review you act to erase our personal data from your records, please. We don t want more mistakes or deal with wrong reservations after the bad experience had up to now. Thanks in advance.

Exceptionally good cocktail. Nice company and very friendly service. Food tastes very good. There is a changing map. Cozy get-together possible. Toilet is recommended. Nice conditions for family celebrations and communions, if they leave the children at home.

Breakfast is great

What a great place... Staying here was a wonderful experience. The room/apartment was large, fully furnished kitchen, comfortable beds and all the usual amenities. The grounds are well cared, have playgrounds for kids, a zoo with goats and deers. Breakfast buffet is 5-star quality and the staff is accommodating, friendly and inviting. Quite a lovely place to spend a long weekend.

It was a beautiful place with much natural light. The personal was very friendly and you got your drinks very fast. The taste of the food was also 5 stars.

A nice place for a short getaway with your family. Very well equipped playground, next to the restaurant. From animals: pigs, cows, goose hens, goats, deer, roe, rabbits. There could be some more. Medium-sized place for prams, to get around to the need for a trolley with large wheels because most roads are gravel.

This place is awesome ! I've been twice. Once for breakfast buffet and once for a steak buffet dinner - both of excellent standard. They even had Australian meat which tasted epic (in half Australian and can say that it's very well done) Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen :)

Delicious food. An all-you-can-eat bar for 23€. Polite personal. Has vegetarian food.
